It’s been a busy spring for Greens in Guelph!
Last month, the Green Party of Ontario held their annual general meeting in Calabogie, and both Guelph Greens exec and active Greens from our community came out to share ideas, discuss Green policies and shape the future of the party. The members directed the party to push for more active play in the Ontario School curriculum, stronger support and safety for animals including creating an Animal Bill of Rights, and support for a Basic Annual Income for every Ontarian along with many other important policies. You will soon be able to read all of the new policies in the updated Policy Book on the GPO website.
And just this past weekend, a few of our fantastic volunteers joined the Wellington Water Watchers’ and SaveOurWater.ca’s Walk for Water, trekking all the way from Guelph to the Nestlé plant in Aberfoyle for a rally to preserve our fresh water supply. And a few of our fantastic volunteers lent a hand to the Niska road cleanup.
Thanks so much to everyone who helped out this month — you’ve done so much to keep our water safe and our city clean!
We’ve got your Green social calendar, right here
